Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for Runway's product platform and API. You will guide a growing team and align product development with revenue goals while fostering a culture of technical excellence.

You will work with product engineering, product management, and finance to build low-latency, high-reliability APIs, manage data pipelines, and scale infrastructure using TypeScript on AWS with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python-based services.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an engineering manager or team lead role
• 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience
• Experience operating TypeScript services in the cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Strong product sensibility and business acumen
• Experience owning revenue-generating platforms or products
• Solid foundation in data engineering and analytics
• Database expertise with production databases at scale
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration
• Empathetic and inclusive leadership style

Responsibilities

• Drive platform strategy and architecture for our TypeScript-based API infrastructure
• Own the public API domain end-to-end, from architecture to revenue growth
• Manage data and analytics infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and security
• Lead and grow a platform engineering team of 4-6
• Partner with Product Engineering to unblock feature launches and ensure integration
• Own critical data pipelines and metrics for finance, support, and product
• Collaborate with leadership to set priorities and align platform investments
