Tata Consultancy Services in Richardson, TX is seeking a technically hands-on professional with deep expertise in microservices, Kubernetes, API management, and observability to support production systems.

The role focuses on deploying and operating containerized services, configuring API gateways (Azure APIM, Kong, APIC), and implementing robust monitoring with Splunk, AppDynamics, and Instana to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture and production systems.
• Hands-on Kubernetes deployment, scaling, troubleshooting and cluster operations.
• Experience with API gateways including APIM, Kong, APIC and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Strong expertise in microservices architecture with practical experience designing, deploying, and supporting distributed systems in production environments.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes (deployment management, scaling, upgrades, troubleshooting, cluster operations) with a focus on reliability, resilience, and performance.
• Proficiency with API gateway platforms such as Azure API Management (APIM), Kong, and IBM API Connect (APIC) for traffic management, rate limiting, routing, and API observability.
• Experience with observability tooling, including Splunk, AppDynamics, Instana, or similar solutions – covering log analytics, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerting, & SLO-based monitoring.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventative measures.
• Familiarity with SRE best practices, including error budgets, SLIs/SLOs, incident response, post-mortems, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and improving system reliability through scalable architectures and elimination of toil.

Salary Range

$90,000 – $115,000 a year
