Job summary

Tekgence Inc. is seeking an API Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs. The role focuses on RESTful and GraphQL endpoints, secure data exchange, and clear documentation. You will integrate internal platforms and external services, and work with modern tooling to ensure high performance.

Required skills include Python, Java, Node.js, or C#, with experience in OAuth2/JWT, Swagger, Docker, and AWS. The position is onsite in Pittsburgh, with 100% on-site operations from day one.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or C#.
• Experience designing RESTful and GraphQL endpoints.
• Knowledge of security concepts like OAuth2, JWT, and API keys.
• Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop RESTful or GraphQL endpoints for internal and external use.
• Ensure security and data encryption across APIs and services.
• Write clear endpoint documentation and technical guides (Swagger/Postman).
