Job summary

Deloitte France seeks an Integration Engineer II specialized in API development and integration tool experience for AI & Engineering services. You will design architecture, build backend services, and implement secure RESTful APIs across on-prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include designing standards, data mapping, and leading cross-functional teams while mentoring juniors. Travel up to 50% may be required; salary range reflects US market expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related field.
• 4+ years hands-on experience with one or more modern programming languages for backend services and APIs.
• Proven experience designing and implementing integration solutions across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns (point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, event-driven, pub/sub, ESB, iPaaS).
• Hands-on API design and development including REST, SOAP, GraphQL.
• Experience with API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, SAML, API keys).
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms/tools (MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, Workato, BizTalk, Boomi).
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of data mapping, transformation, orchestration across heterogeneous systems.
• Experience SDLC management including CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end system architecture spanning frontend, backend, integration layers, and cloud infra.
• Define technical standards, integration design patterns, and best practices.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, specifications, and data mapping details.
• Build backend services and APIs using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript with Azure or other tools.
• Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs connecting third-party and internal systems.
• Implement API security, versioning, throttling, and error handling.
• Manage SDLC across Dev, Test, UAT, Production environments.
• Monitor integration performance and provide post-deployment support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data flows and adherence to best practices.
• Take ownership of projects and mentor junior team members.
