Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • API 653 certification mandatory.
  • NDT experience (UT, MT, MFL); knowledge of API 510, API 570 is a plus.

Job description

Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to find an API 653 Inspector for an initial 1-year contract in Pittsburgh, PA.

Summary of position:

Perform API 653 Inspections in accordance with API 653 and referencing documents and company’s guidelines and procedures. This will include the performance of all aspects of AST Inspection functions.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Daily documentation of work performed and project progress
  2. Customer interaction and update of QA/QC status
  3. Overseeing and witnessing NDT as safe access allows
  4. Verifying weld spacing requirements and drawings
  5. Monitoring pre-heat during welding, verifying MTR’s
  6. Other QA/QC related activities as directed by the client
Qualifications & Education:
  1. High School Diploma or GED required
  2. API 653 certification required
  3. NDT experience (UT, MT, MFL), API 510, API 570
