Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to find two API 653 Inspectors/QAQC professionals for a long-term assignment in the Carolinas and Central Virginia (Richmond) area.

Summary Of Position

Perform API 653 Inspections in accordance with API 653 and referencing documents and HMT guidelines and procedures. This includes all aspects of AST Inspection functions.

Job Responsibilities

• Document daily work and project progress
• Interact with customers and update QA/QC status
• Oversee and witness NDT as safe access allows
• Verify weld spacing requirements and drawings
• Monitor pre-heat during welding and verify MTRs
• Perform other QA/QC activities as directed by the client

Qualifications & Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• API 653 certification required
• NDE Certifications required: UT Level II, MFL Level II
• Preferred NDE Certifications: MT, PT, LT/BT, ACFM
• Ability to work with electrical and mechanical equipment

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Climb, push, and pull
• Work in hot, noisy, dusty environments, at high elevations with moving objects and hazardous materials
• Work independently or with others
• Read and write in English
• Communicate effectively and make sound decisions
