Job summary

Acuren is seeking certified API 510/653 inspectors with NACE II to support operations across West, TX. The Visual Inspector conducts visual examinations of materials, welds, and components for conformity with applicable codes and client specifications.

Responsibilities include documenting results, reporting findings, and providing technical input on repairs or alterations. Willingness to travel and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• API 510 and 653 certifications required.
• NACE II required.

• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment.

• Comply with all safety practices and be willing to travel as needed.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently seeking certified API 510/653 inspectors with NACE 2 to support our operations across West, TX

The Visual Inspector API 510/653 conducts visual examinations independently and evaluates materials, welds, and components for conformity with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. This role involves interpreting procedures, recording detailed results, and reporting findings. Level II inspectors are expected to identify discontinuities, determine acceptability within defined criteria, and assist in training Level I personnel. They demonstrate a solid understanding of inspection techniques, documentation practices, and quality assurance requirements.

API 510/653 - required

Schedule: 6-10\'s with rotational time off (TBD)

7 days perdiem on worked weeks

Responsibilities

• At the direction of client, perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
• Submit to client technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition
• Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client
• Provide technical input to client as required for welding and metallurgical issues
• Provide technical guidance, on a application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures
• Fully comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives
• Willingness to travel if needed

Requirements

• Certification of American Petroleum Institute Standards 510 and 653
• NACE II required
• Valid CWI preferred
• 6 years\' experience or 4+ years on site experience
• Certification of American Petroleum Institute Standards 510/653
• In-depth working knowledge of API 510/653 and ASME standards
• Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers
