Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking API 510/570 Inspectors local to the Baytown, TX area for full-time, on-site work. You will perform internal and external inspections on refinery equipment and support in scheduling and reporting.

Candidates must hold API 510/570, understand traditional NDE, and be able to lift 35 pounds, climb, and work in a plant environment with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• API 510/570 certification with at least one year of related experience.
• Understanding of traditional NDE.
• New construction experience highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school/college credits preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel and able to write detailed inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain mechanical integrity of refinery equipment.
• Perform visual inspection of completed work and recommend/approve repairs.
• Assist in scheduling activities related to inspection.
• Use safety procedures and equipment.
• Complete all required training and tests within company guidelines.
• Deliver reports to clients.
• Work outdoors in a plant atmosphere with high noise levels.
