Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Hemapheresis Unit in Charleston is seeking a Registered Nurse II to provide individualized patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments, administering therapies offered by the apheresis program, and collaborating with physicians and the health care team to ensure safe, high-quality care for adults and children. 40-hour work week, days, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse.
• BSN preferred; enrollment in an accredited BSN program within two years with BSN degree within four years of hire or reclassification.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care to adult and pediatric patients undergoing apheresis therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Perform nursing assessments, administer therapies, and document care per hospital policy.
