Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide apheresis care within the NMH system. You will assess, treat, and document patient care from pre-procedure through post‑care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires an Illinois RN license, BSN or higher, BLS, and strong communication skills. On-call duties, training responsibilities, and adherence to SOPs are included.

Qualifications

• NLN-accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide apheresis nursing care per protocols.
• Coordinate and document patient care and procedures in Epic.
• On-call coverage during assigned hours; weekends/holidays as scheduled.
• Train and support staff; ensure SOPs/regulatory compliance.
• Maintain safety, inventory, and equipment readiness.
