We are actively hiring for an APD Business Process Consultant, Commercial Claims.

Your Role:

Uses expertise gained in applying process analysis and improvement tools and methods in a variety of business operations, with a focus on commercial/specialty casualty and non-injury claims. Supports and consults on overall business strategy and corporate objectives with the aim of creating value, maximizing growth, or improving the business performance of our internal claims process. Performs advanced analysis to support the identification of business needs and determine solutions to a variety of sophisticated business problems and processes. May provide technical advice to claims associates and other functional areas.

Your Work:

  • Identifies, documents and evaluates business operations and process designs.
  • Collaborates with business leaders to achieve enterprise objectives and core business process performance targets.
  • Responsible for identifying the need for and assuring the integration of business processes across divisions.
  • Recommends improvements on project delivery and business analysis processes and execution.
  • Collects data to identify root causes of problems.
  • Measures performance against business requirements.
  • Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
  • Provides consultation and leads projects to apply re-engineering techniques to improve business performance and quality.
  • Utilizes advanced knowledge and experience in business and process analysis and improvement methods to scope, charter and leads all phases of highly sophisticated process analysis and design initiatives.
  • Leads large projects and provides consulting to address large scale/highly complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of business, process and people factors. Uses knowledge of change management concepts in implementation of business initiatives.
  • Responsible for the identification and benchmarking of best practice business processes for the commercial/specialty claims division to support achievement of high-impact operational, customer, growth, employee and profitability objectives.
  • Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., supporting employee resource groups, mentoring employees, volunteering, joining cross-functional projects).
  • Champions our cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.).
  • Demonstrates a company ownership attitude, thinking beyond boundaries of their own area.
  • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc.

Required Experience, Education and Skills:

  • 6+ years of directly related business process experience, or a combination of APD Claims handling, leadership, and process improvement experience.
  • High School (HS) / GED.
  • Strong APD Claims handling background.
  • Skilled in research, problem solving, analytical, critical thinking, influencing, relationship management, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to support change and impart value within an organization.
  • Proficient in the use and development of operational concepts as they apply to business unit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Travels as needed for role, including divisional/team meetings and other in-person meetings.

What would make us excited about you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior Commercial Claims experience.
  • APD claims experience in either Personal or Commercial lines of business.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Project management experience skills to accurately complete detail data assignments, understand and interpret broad operational concepts and their application to the business unit.
  • Experience with CAS, mCAS, CCC bill review, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft PowerBI strongly preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of CSAA business strategy.

The national average salary range for this position is $110,700.00-$123,000.00. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on work location. The starting pay range for this position across all the states we hire in is $99,675.00-$147,500.00. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay.
