Job summary

ATTIC Correctional Services, Inc. is recruiting for a part-time Apartment Monitor to provide community-based services to correctional clients after their release and transition back to their home community.

This role involves monitoring the supervised apartment and tenants in the transitional living program. You will report potential violations and safety concerns promptly, track client whereabouts, and maintain activity records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience and/or education relating to corrections, community-based facilities, or related fields preferred.
• 1 year of experience with correctional clients from diverse backgrounds; culturally competent.
• Access to own vehicle and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide monitoring checks on the supervised apartment and clients in the transitional living program.
• Receive day-to-day direction from the Case Manager and report violations or safety concerns promptly.
• Monitor client whereabouts and complete activity records and required forms.

This is the job for you!ATTIC Correctional Services is currently recruiting for a part-time Apartment Monitors to provide community based services to correctional clients following their release and transition back to their home community. This position is responsible for providing monitoring checks on the supervised apartment and clients residing in the transitional living program. Clients (tenants), will be offenders of varying risk/need on supervision with the Department of Corrections. Typically works 4-6 hours a week, predominantly on weekends.Duties include, but are not limited to:Receive day to day direction and assignments from the Case Manager.Report any known or possible client violations and safety/security concerns to the appropriate party in a timely manner.Monitor client whereabouts and location security during designated periods and shifts.Complete and maintain activity records and other required information.Education & Work ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.1 year experience and/or education relating to corrections, community based residential facilities (CBRF), criminal justice, human services, psychology, sociology, security, social service, mental health, behavioral health, or law enforcement preferred.1 year of experience with correctional clients from diverse backgrounds; culturally competent.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAccess to his/her own vehicle.Valid driver’s license, good driving and proof of insurance.Ability to travel frequently.Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to interactions with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to interact with staff, clients, and other parties in an effective manner while maintaining professional boundaries.Strong decision making abilities and self- motivated.Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality of all agency information.Equal Opportunity Employer/Affirmative ActionATTIC Correctional Services, Inc. is in compliance with applicable state and federal statutes and regulations relating to nondiscrimination in employment and service delivery.
