Job summary

RPM Living is seeking a Make Ready Technician to efficiently prepare apartment homes for re-leasing by completing turn tasks, repairs, and touch-ups to meet quality standards. This on-site role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work quickly with limited supervision.

You will inspect units, caulk windows, paint, and assist with curb appeal, keeping supplies stocked and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of maintenance or related field experience preferred.
• General knowledge in skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready.
• HVAC experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follows the make-ready checklist to complete necessary repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in, as directed by the Supervisor or manager.
• Inspects sheetrock and makes repairs; caulks and seals windows, sink areas, toilets, bathtubs, and showers; and performs touch-up paint.
• Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for make-ready tasks.
• Cuts expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts, and avoiding wasteful use of supplies.
• Assists with property curb appeal by cleaning, pressure-washing, and painting as needed.
• Complies with safety policies by attending safety meetings and training, and reporting accidents promptly.
• Delivers high level of customer service by treating residents with respect and completing work efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

1+ year maintenance experience

Knowledge of skilled trades (construction/installation, drywall, basic carpentry)

HVAC knowledge a plus

Ability to meet deadlines
