Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Huntsville, AL

We manage a diverse portfolio of residential properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and safe. As we expand, we seek talented individuals to join our team and uphold our standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct all business in accordance with Summerfield's policies and procedures, including Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, OSHA, and applicable laws.
  2. Satisfy service requests per work order; perform thorough cleanup.
  3. Inspect grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment; report repairs to the Community Director.
  4. Be available for emergency situations; be familiar with power, water, gas shut-offs, fire safety equipment, and emergency contacts.
  5. Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  6. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Full-time maintenance experience with knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC systems, and appliances.
  • Availability to work 40 hours/week, including weekends, with flexible scheduling.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Summerfield software.
  • Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
  • Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and ability to utilize personal transportation if needed.
