Position Summary:
Link Apartments Noda 36th is seeking a full-time Service Technician to join their team. The Service Technician is responsible for all maintenance activities related to work orders, apartment readiness, and preventative maintenance programs. This role reports to the Property Manager and requires understanding of all functions of the Service Supervisor.
What will you do in this role:
- Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, roofs, gutters, and recreational facilities.
- Assist the supervisor in turning vacant apartments into ready-to-occupy units efficiently; oversee inspections, and prepare apartments for occupancy through painting and cleaning.
- Provide residents with a written explanation of work performed in their units.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained community, ensuring good public relations with residents and staff.
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of the pool and pool area, including chemical level management and equipment maintenance.
- Complete all work orders within 24 hours.
- Follow all safety protocols and directives.
- Participate in 24-hour emergency call duties with the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Learn and implement all aspects of on-site maintenance for apartment preparation.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
- Report hazardous, emergency, or unusual situations.
Our ideal candidate has the following:
- 2-5 years of experience in maintenance or related field.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
- HVAC certification required; willingness to obtain a Certified Pool Operator license.
- Pleasing personality with good interpersonal skills.
- Strong mechanical skills and organizational abilities.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Work occurs in residential buildings and outdoors.
- Moderate supervision; frequent movement, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to drive a golf cart.
