Job summary

Lancaster Campus in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to uphold the property's physical and mechanical upkeep. You will support the Maintenance Supervisor and respond to service requests to keep units and facilities in top condition.

Responsibilities include rounds, plumbing/electrical/HVAC repairs, prep/turn of vacant units, grounds care, light carpentry, drywall, painting touch-ups, after-hours on-call duties, safety hazards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• HVAC certification required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions efficiently.
• Maintain friendly, professional attitude with residents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customer service requests promptly as assigned.
• Complete daily rounds and check mechanical equipment, recreational facilities and any other functional or safety concerns.
• Plumbing, electrical, HVAC and heating system repairs.
• Prep/turn of vacant units/suites.
• Pick up/clean grounds and common areas.
• Light carpentry work.
• Drywall repairs and finish work.
• Touch up painting.
• Take after hours “on call” duties as assigned.
• General cleanliness and upkeep of interior and exterior of the property.
• Immediate attention to areas posing risks to life safety of residents and customers (fire alarms, trip hazards, etc.)
