We are currently seeking Apartment Maintenance Technicians with general residential technician skills to join the High Associates team for Greenfield Estates in Lancaster, PA. The Maintenance Tech will be responsible for the completion of technical building maintenance and emergency repairs as required by service requests submitted by all appropriate tenants and/or owners. They will also perform preventative maintenance assignments as scheduled.

This is a Full-Time opportunity with the following schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM.

Responsibilities of our Maintenance Techs:

  • Responsible for completion of building maintenance duties to various properties owned and leased by High Associates Ltd. This includes service requests required for preparation of unit turnover in addition to routine maintenance calls of a technical nature, troubleshooting, and periodic inspection of building and property.
  • Repair and maintenance requests involve items related to general carpentry, drywall repair, painting, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and HVAC.
  • Maintain inventory records of parts and material as well as logs of routine maintenance, material usage time, production, and any additional reports deemed necessary.
  • Inspect buildings and apartments, inform supervisor of maintenance needs, and assist in planning and completion of preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and/or general condition of property overall.
  • May be required to perform minimal maintenance on exterior grounds, which could include duties such as lawn and shrubbery care during summer months and snow removal during winter months.
  • Follow all safety, truck operations, or other rules and regulations relative to the safety and well-being of the property, co-workers, and residents at all times.
  • Be part of an "on call" rotation for emergency, after-hour repairs (every 4th week).
  • Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary to meet the owners' goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • 1-3 years of directly related building maintenance experience.
  • Universal EPA Certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical work, & appliance repair.
  • Flexibility required to work a scheduled on-call rotation, which could include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
