Job summary

Paragon Property Restoration LLC is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician to join the Dover Hills Apartments team in Kalamazoo, MI. You will handle maintenance requests, perform basic drywall, painting and rough carpentry, and prepare units for occupancy.

We require 1+ year of maintenance experience, a strong customer-service ethic, and the ability to work outdoors in all seasons. HVAC certification is strongly preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of technical, vocational or on the job maintenance experience.
• Exemplary customer service ethic.
• Emergency maintenance on call; after-hours weekends and holidays.
• HVAC Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods in all seasons.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent (college-level/trade school preferred).

Responsibilities

• Effectively handles maintenance service requests to the highest level of quality standards.
• Prepare apartment units for occupancy - performing basic drywall, painting and rough carpentry.
• Ensure the physical integrity and curb appeal of the communities we serve; reporting any potential liabilities or proposed property improvements.
• Evaluate, troubleshoot and repair plumbing and electrical systems, all major appliances, pool/spa equipment and HVAC equipment.
