GMC Property Management in Utah (South Jordan) is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to join our family-owned company with 30+ years in multifamily housing. The role focuses on make-readies, repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep our communities in top condition.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to rotate 24-hour emergency on-call. We provide comprehensive benefits and a team‑oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• One year of property maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and up-to-date vehicle insurance or reliable transportation.
• Criminal background screening required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in make readies with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
• Complete work orders as directed by Community Manager or Lead Maintenance.
• Repair showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and exteriors.
• Perform preventative maintenance program.
• Grounds work including pick up, sweeping and light landscaping.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems; maintain, repair and replace if needed (preferred).
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

We have a great opportunity for a motivated Maintenance Make Ready Technicianto join our company, GMC Property Management!We are a family owned and managed company that has been in the multi-family industry for over 30 years. We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 1 year in the Maintenance Industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist in make readies with electrical, plumbing, and some carpentry as needed
• Complete work orders as directed by Community Manager and or Lead Maintenance
• Repair structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors
• Complete preventative maintenance program
• Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
• Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems is preferred but not required for this position
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required

• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, vendors and team members
• Ability to use power and hand tools to effectively and safely complete maintenance tasks

REQUIREMENTS

• One year of property maintenance experience preferred
• Willing to rotate 24-hour emergency maintenance on-call
• Possession of valid driver’s license and up to date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation
• Prior to employment pass criminal background screening

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work involves daily exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, humidity, wind and precipitation.
• Frequent contact with residents in and outside of their apartment homes including those with disabilities
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk up and downstairs, and able to walk the property in its entirety.
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team, as needed.
