Job summary

GMC Property Management is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician with at least 2 years in the maintenance field to join our team. This full-time role supports make-readies, repairs, and preventative maintenance across residential properties and requires a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

The ideal candidate has a hands-on approach, can work independently or with a team, and is willing to rotate 24-hour emergency on-call duties.

Qualifications

• One year of property maintenance experience preferred.
• Willing to rotate 24-hour emergency maintenance on-call.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance or reliable transportation.
• Criminal background screening prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in make readies with electrical, plumbing, and some carpentry as needed.
• Complete work orders as directed by Community Manager and/or Lead Maintenance.
• Repair structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
• Complete preventative maintenance program.
• Complete grounds work including grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping.
• Have working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain/repair/replace (preferred).
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Perform other related duties as required.

We have a great opportunity for a motivated Maintenance Make ReadyTechnicianto join our company, GMC Property Management!We are a family owned and managed company that has been in the multi-family industry for over 30 years. We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 2years in the Maintenance Industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist in make readies with electrical, plumbing, and some carpentry as needed
• Complete work orders as directed by Community Manager and or Lead Maintenance
• Repair structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors
• Complete preventative maintenance program
• Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
• Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems is preferred but not required for this position
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required

REQUIREMENTS

• One year of property maintenance experience preferred
• Willing to rotate 24-hour emergency maintenance on-call
• Possession of valid driver’s license and up to date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation
• Prior to employment pass criminal background screening

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work involves daily exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, humidity, wind and precipitation.
• Frequent contact with residents in and outside of their apartment homes including those with disabilities
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk up and downstairs, and able to walk the property in its entirety.
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team, as needed.
