Job summary

Lyon Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Pacific Pointe in San Clemente. The role focuses on ensuring safety, appearance, and operational standards across the property.

You will respond to resident maintenance requests and perform repairs as assigned by a supervisor, including unit turns and various trade tasks. Applicants should have 1+ years of maintenance experience, be willing to work weekends/OT and on-call, and possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hands on general maintenance experience.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and OT.
• On-call duty required; may be asked to live on-site.
• Must speak and write English clearly.
• Trade School or Maintenance Training Program preferred.
• HVAC experience preferred but not required.
• CPO certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident requests for maintenance.
• Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of the property.
• Repair building exteriors and common areas as directed by Supervisor.
• Complete Unit Turns.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance installation/repair.
• Follow safety program rules and attend safety meetings.

Pay Range: $27.00-$29.00 per hour; on-site housing not offered

Our teams work hard to maintain a culture that is conducive to creative thinking, empowerment, and collaboration. We are currently looking to fill a Maintenance Technician position for Pacific Pointe, our property located in San Clemente.

The Maintenance Technician ensures the property community meets safety, appearance and operational standards established by the organization.

Essential Job Functions

• Respond to resident requests for maintenance
• Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property
• Complete necessary repairs to building exteriors and common areas as assigned by Supervisor.
• Complete Unit Turns
• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance installation and repair
• Adhere to the company’s safety program rules, attend safety meetings and performs all duties in a safe manner.

Experience/Requirements

• 1+ years of hands on general maintenance experience
• Available to work a flexible schedule (Weekends, OT, On-Call)
• Required to work on-call duty, weekends and may be required to live on-site.
• Required to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
• Trade School or Maintenance Training Program Preferred
• HVAC experience preferred but not required
• CPO preferred but not required

This position requires attendance at offsite meetings, visits to other Company operated locations, purchase of goods from offsite vendors and other tasks away from a single assigned location. Applicant must have a valid driver's license or be able to utilize an alternative form of transportation at their own expense which allows them to reach the required destination in a time period comparable to that if they were to drive their own vehicle. Employees choosing to drive their own vehicle for work-related duties will be required to have a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance, and may be subject to a DMV record search.
