Job Description
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team!
We are a Kansas and Missouri-based property management group seeking a motivated team player responsible, under the direction of the Property Manager and/or Head of Maintenance, for the overall maintenance of the physical property.
You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks. A Maintenance Technician performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. Working under close supervision, you will assist in monitoring building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
Locations: Multiple locations across Kansas City Metropolitan area.
Responsibilities:
- Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
- Estimate time and extent of repairs
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Maintain material and supply inventory
- Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
- Complete building reports for weekly/monthly inspections
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency guidelines, and company directives related to building operations and safety
- Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as required
- Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs. Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC
- Inspect new installations to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, clean fixtures, and replace bulbs and light fixtures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance or related fields
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Deadline and detail-oriented
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength, with willingness to work overtime and on-call weekends
- Valid driver’s license required
