Job summary

Fairstead is a purpose‑driven real estate firm focused on affordable housing. The Service Manager oversees repair and maintenance of properties, ensuring safe, efficient operation and clean, compliant premises.

You will supervise maintenance staff, lead special projects, and perform skilled tasks across trades, with emphasis on safety and policy adherence. The role requires 3+ years in property maintenance, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with building trades and common software

Qualifications

• Three (3) years experience in property maintenance.
• Proficient in a specific trade with general maintenance and repair skills.
• Knowledge of tools, techniques, and terminology of building and mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Knowledge and experience using a variety of tools and equipment to complete tasks.
• Great organization and project management skills.
• Able to implement and improve policies and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Yardi Software and Realpage a plus.

The Service Manager manages and supervises the repair and maintenance of property buildings. They ensure the timely installation of mechanical equipment and upkeep of Fairstead’s property to ensure operational effectiveness. The Service Manager oversees operational efficiency of all electrical equipment and mechanical systems through inspection and repair and ensures that property’s premises and facilities are kept clean and hygienic in alignment with Fairstead safety policies and standards.
