Job summary

APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Project/Materials Engineer to drive innovation and efficiency in materials production and delivery across Arkansas, Oklahoma, and southern Missouri.

You will optimize mix designs, analyze project documentation, and collaborate with Quality Control and Environmental teams to ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality outcomes on transformative infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required; FE exam recommended.
  • Experience or internship in construction materials, mining, or quality control is a plus.
  • Analytical problem-solving and ability to communicate technical details clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Tackle challenges related to material science, production techniques, and environmental sustainability.
  • Optimize ready-mix concrete and asphalt, streamlining material selection, plant performance, and logistics.
  • Analyze project documentation, ensuring material compliance and crafting clear submittals for aggregates, asphalt, and concrete.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control and Environmental Teams to uphold safety, operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Design and manage plant improvement initiatives to shape best practices.
  • Engage in inventory management and reserve analysis to support project delivery.
  • Participate in inspections to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health standards.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution; advanced degrees or additional certifications are a plus.
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred.
  • Experience or internship in construction materials, mining, or quality control is a bonus-but we value passion and drive above all.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
  • Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.
  • Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
  • Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
