Job summary

Westinghouse's WECTEC Staffing Services seeks an AP1000 Supplier Performance Oversight professional for a 6-month contract across multiple US locations (PA, FL, OR, NC, TX, OH). You will lead manufacturing readiness and supplier capability assessments for critical mechanical components as a resident.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in heavy fabrication environments (welding and machining) in large mechanical components.
• Manufacturing of large steel components (low volume/dedicated spec), preferably pressure vessels.
• Experience in regulated industries (nuclear/aerospace).
• Project management experience.
• Led complex supplier engagements.
• Led supplier development projects (PPAP or NPI).
• Nondestructive testing/examination awareness (PT/UT/MT/RT).

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site supplier oversight to meet Westinghouse requirements.
• Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans for submittals, manufacturing, surveillance, inspections, and tests.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Supplier Quality Oversight.
• Promote prompt issue resolution and identify partners for corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive corrective actions.
• Evaluate procurement risk and develop supply risk mitigation plans.
• Oversee supplier corrective action requests.
• Conduct technical evaluations of suppliers for capability and compliance.
• Identify gaps between evaluations and Westinghouse requirements.
• Lead supplier development and qualification activities (PPAP/NPI).
• Review and disposition process documents and quality data.
• Work with Design Engineering on engineering drawing requirements.
• Support Value Analysis / Value Engineering and Design for Manufacturing.
