Overview

A private family in New York City is seeking an exceptionalTemporary Nanny / Family Assistantto care for their 15-month-old son fromNovember 11, 2026 through January 1, 2027.

The schedule will typically besix days per week, approximately 9am–7pm, with some flexibility required around the family’s schedule. The family is seeking someone who isalready based in New York Cityand able to commit to the placement for its full duration.

The role will be approximately70% childcare and 30% family assistant support relating primarily to the child and his day-to-day needs. Their son is a happy, social and active toddler who loves being out and about. The family is looking for someone who is genuinely playful and engaging while bringing a strong understanding of early childhood development. They particularly value a nanny who naturally incorporates language, learning, exploration and developmental opportunities into everyday play.

This is ahigh-trust, high-autonomy positionand will suit someone who is highly independent, proactive and confident taking ownership of the child’s day without requiring significant direction. The successful candidate should be comfortable researching and planning activities, anticipating what is needed and creating engaging, developmentally appropriate days both at home and around New York City.
