Job summary

Swinomish Casino & Lodge is seeking an AP Specialist to accurately process accounts payable, match invoices to POs and receiving reports, and prepare items for payment. The role maintains vendor accounts and ensures timely payments in line with GAAP and policies.

The position supports month-end reconciliations, adjusting entries, revenue audits, and reporting, while upholding confidentiality and strong attention to detail using Excel, Word, and related software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounts payable experience, preferably in a casino environment.
• Strong communication, mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and other computer applications.
• Washington State Class III Gaming License required.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The AP Specialist is responsible for accurately processing accounts payable, including matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving reports, preparing invoices for payment, maintaining vendor accounts, and ensuring timely payments in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and GAAP. This position also assists with month-end account reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, revenue audits, reports, and other accounting functions as assigned. The AP Specialist must maintain confidentiality, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and be comfortable using Microsoft Office and other software.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounts payable experience, preferably in a casino environment.

• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and other computer applications.
• Washington State Class III Gaming License required.

Physical Requirements:

• Primarily sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, stairs, bending, and crouching.
• Frequently performs repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements and requires close attention to detail.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds.
• Requires the ability to communicate clearly and exchange detailed information.
• Specific vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
Generally quiet office environment; may occasionally be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke.
