DSST Public Schools is seeking an AP Psychology Teacher for Elevate High School. This full-time position offers a competitive salary based on experience and includes benefits. The role involves delivering culturally responsive instruction and supporting student success in a diverse environment.
POSITION : AP Psychology Teacher
GRADE LEVEL: High School

SALARY : $60,000-$78,000 based on aligned years of experience up to 10 years. We also offer a relocation stipend for anyone joining us from 75 miles or more from Denver!
STATUS : Full time school year, benefits eligible, exempt, in-person position (Denver, CO)

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
We believe it is critical to prepare our students for the world they face beyond high school, and one way we do this at DSST is by offering a robust set of elective courses where students can deepen their knowledge and skills in specific areas that align to their passions:
We aspire to offer an introduction to psychology elective in direct response to student demand. Students will explore topics that include, but are not limited to, perception, communication, learning, memory, decision-making, persuasion, emotions, and social behavior. Students will examine how the mind develops in children, how aspects of the mind differ across people, and how the mind changes due to illness and injury
Plan and deliver culturally responsive instruction to 3-5 classes a day of various lengths depending on the DSST campus and grade level
Use data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices
Additional duties as assigned such as supporting student recruitment, running a small group advisory class, after school tutoring, etc. See many of our possible duties here .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
