Job Description

Capitol Helicopters is hiring helicopter mechanics at our main base at McClellan Park just outside Sacramento, California. We are concentrating current recruitment efforts on A P mechanics experienced with one or more of the following: Bell 407’s, Bell 429’s, Bell 412’s, Huey variants, and UH-60 Blackhawks. Both rotational and regular schedules are available. Rotational employee travel and lodging are covered by the company, and relocation assistance may be provided for new employees on a regular schedule. Capitol offers full-time employees a benefits package that includes medical and company-matched 401K retirement plans.

Capitol Helicopters operates and maintains approximately 20 helicopters primarily supporting firefighting and utility distribution. Become a key part of a growing team of professionals that operate and maintain some of the newest and best-equipped aircraft in the industry.

Minimum Requirements

  1. FAA A P Certificate.
  2. Bell 407 and 429 experience preferred; Bell 205, 212 and 412 experience desirable.
  3. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  4. Maintain a professional image and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  5. Demonstrate a willingness to excel and be proficient in the position.
  6. Work collaboratively within a team; ability and willingness to adapt to evolving situations.
  7. Work in accordance with company values, priorities and goals and to adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
  8. Establish and model high standards that guarantee exceptional quality and necessary attention to detail.
  9. Ability to work independently and tolerate high stress levels while maintaining professionalism.
  10. Perform other duties during scheduled shift as requested by the Lead or DOM.
  11. Background checks will be performed prior to employment.
  12. Pass initial and random drug/alcohol screening.
