Job summary

Clinical Pathology Laboratories is seeking a full-time Surgical Pathologist to join their team in Tacoma, Washington. This position involves handling a variety of surgical cases, interpreting intraoperative evaluations, and contributing to tumor boards at Tacoma General Hospital.

Qualifications

• AP/CP board certification required.
• Subspecialty expertise in GI/Liver, Hematopathology, or Cytopathology highly desired.
• 3–5 years of prior practice experience preferred; recently trained fellows will be considered.
• Must hold or be eligible for a Washington State medical license.

Responsibilities

• Sign out a broad range of surgical cases.
• Interpret intraoperative frozen sections and cytology rapid on-site evaluations.
• Present at general and/or specialty tumor boards.
• Serve as CLIA director for hospital laboratories.
• Participate in call coverage, shared equally among all pathologists.

Sonic Healthcare USA provides comprehensive pathology services across the Puget Sound region. We are seeking a full‑time Surgical Pathologist to join our dynamic and collaborative team of 4–8 pathologists and three Pathologist Assistants. Our practice supports multiple hospitals and outreach clinics, delivering high‑quality diagnostic services to a diverse patient population.
