Position Overview:

The AR/AP Specialist is responsible for managing both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. This position ensures timely payments to vendors, accurate billing to customers, and clear financial record maintenance, supporting the company’s financial health and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Issue invoices, post customer payments, and handle collections efforts when necessary.
  • Review and match invoices with purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, and prepare payments for approval.
  • Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries from vendors and clients regarding payments.
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements and account ledgers to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to resolve any issues related to payments and billing.
  • Maintain organized financial records for easy access and auditing.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an AR/AP or bookkeeping role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information professionally.
