Job description

A P Aircraft Mechanic
Code 1 Aviation, LLC is an exciting and growing company located in Rockford, IL. We are the industry leader in L-39 Jet Warbird aircraft maintenance, restoration, and modifications. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join us in our quest for perfection. As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks including assembly, fabrication, and preservation of various systems. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Military Veterans with a mechanical background in aviation are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on aircraft.
  • Conduct repairs and modifications as required.
  • Assemble and fabricate new parts, as well as maintain and repair existing ones.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in the aircraft systems, avionics, and mechanical components.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including time and material used.

Requirements:

  • Airframe and Powerplant License
  • Proficiency in reading and utilizing blueprints, maintenance manuals, system schematics, and other maintenance documents.
  • Ability to use micrometers and other precision measuring tools.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, preferably in L-39 Jets and other Warbird Aircraft.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe.
  • Familiarity with avionic systems.
