Job summary

BSU Electronics is seeking a QA/Inspector to test customer products via Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) to ensure they meet specifications before release or shipping.

The role entails AOI inspection of assemblies, routine maintenance, and adherence to BSU’s Quality Management System. Candidates should understand electronics components and be able to read schematics, with strong attention to documentation and process control.

Qualifications

• AOI and/or inspection of electronic assemblies is helpful and inspection experience preferred.
• Familiar with electronics components: resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transistors, ICs, etc.
• Ability to read schematics, follow procedures and apply computer skills to resolve technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform AOI inspection of assemblies, including shutdown and start-up.
• Perform equipment non-routine and weekly/monthly preventative maintenance.
• Understand production processes related to inspection and apply industry standards to determine acceptables.
• Read and comprehend customer drawings and parts lists.
• Stop manufacturing when nonconformances are noted and report issues for immediate corrective action.
• Record AOI run information daily and keep records accurate.
• Keep rejected product segregated from accepted and assist with visual inspection as needed.
• Ensure compliance with BSU’s Quality Management System and regulatory requirements.
