Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience operating AOI equipment and interpreting inspection data.
• Ability to load/unload PCB layers and prepare boards for inspection.
• Familiarity with defect classification and basic rework processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate AOI equipment according to procedures.
• Load and unload PCB layers onto the AOI machine.
• Monitor inspection results and analyze data to identify defects.
• Identify and classify defects detected by AOI.
• Verify and rework identified defects including welding openings and cleaning shorts.
• Check trace width, spacing, and resistance to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results and defect data.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on AOI machines.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Support cross-training and other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up and operate AOI equipment according to established procedures.
• Load and unload PCB layers onto the AOI machine.
• Monitor the inspection process and analyze inspection results.
• Identify and classify defects detected by the AOI system.
• Verify and rework identified defects, including welding openings and cleaning shorts.
• Check trace width, space, and resistance to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results and defect data.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve inspection issues.
• Undertake preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of AOI machines.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support cross‑training efforts and carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor to meet production needs.
