Job summary

Evolving Solution Services seeks an AOI Operator in Seymour, CT to inspect circuit board assemblies using Automated Optical Inspection equipment. You will load programs, run boards, log defects, and ensure quality under supervisor guidance.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and up to 3 years of related experience, with proficiency in English, basic computer tasks, and familiarity with Microboard MIS software. IPC 610 certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Potentially train and supervise other AOI operators.

AOI Operator
Summary

Operate Automated Optical Inspection Equipment and identify defects on circuit board assemblies.

Level I: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicates and listens effectively in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to solve minor problems and recognize bigger problems that require supervisor assistance.

  • Contributes to a positive, healthy and safe work environment. Work in compliance with Microboard, OSHA and SDS safety policies.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the AOI machine.
  • Demonstrate the ability to load the proper program, load and run boards, and log defects as appropriate.
  • Proficiency with and working knowledge of Microboard MIS (Aegis) software is required.
  • Component Identification training is required.
  • IPC 610 Certification required.
  • May be asked to code simple programs required to operate the equipment
  • Ability to train and supervise other AOI operators.

Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving simple variables in standardized (normal) situations.
