Job summary

Balance Staffing is seeking an AOI In Process Inspector to monitor and inspect circuit board assemblies in the SMT department using AOI and 5DX equipment to ensure product quality and reliability.

Ideal candidates have AOI/5DX experience, IPC workmanship guidelines knowledge, and strong written and verbal communication. OT may be required; standing and lifting up to 35 pounds applies; potential for temp-to-hire.

Qualifications

• Experience using AOI and 5DX equipment.
• Working knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Must be available for overtime.
• Solder certification preferred.
• Experience in electronics or contract manufacturing preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SMT product at defined station(s) using AOI or 5DX.
• Identify components including part numbers, values, package size/shape, placement and solderability.
• Report findings to appropriate personnel and record findings on applicable documentation.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Job Title: AOI In Process Inspector

Type of Role: Temp to Hire

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 3:30pm – 12:00am

• OTif needed -Monday - Thursday: 3:30pm - 2:00am
• OT if needed - Saturday: 1:30pm - 7:30p

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Pay Range: $18.72/Hour

AOI In Process Inspector Job Summary

Monitor and inspect circuit board assemblies manufactured in the SMT department utilizing Automatic Optical (AOI) and/or X-ray (5DX) equipment to ensure product quality and reliability.

Nature of Duties:

• Monitor SMT product at defined station(s) utilizing AOI or 5DX
• Identify components including part numbers, values, package size/shape, placement and solderability
• Report findings to appropriate personnel, and record findings on applicable documentation
• Perform other responsibilities as needed

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Experience utilizing AOI and/or 5DX equipment
• Working knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, and able to handle multiple tasks at once
• May do a lot of standing and walking and may lift up to 35 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary.
• Must be available for overtime as needed
• Must have a strong attention to detail.
• Solder certified and experience in electronics or contract manufacturing preferred
• Experience in electronics or contract manufacturing and knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required
