Job summary

Unigen Corporation in Newark, CA is seeking an AOI/AXI Lead to oversee daily AOI/AXI operations, develop the inspection team, and drive improvements in yield and quality. The role is onsite in Newark, CA, and requires strong leadership and deep IPC-A-610/SMT process knowledge.

You will manage shifts, set priorities, monitor metrics, and coordinate with Engineering and vendors to minimize downtime while supporting NPI and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years AOI/AXI experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Strong leadership or team-lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expert knowledge of IPC-A-610 and SMT processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and support AOI/AXI inspectors across shifts.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and quality metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement in inspection programs and yield.
• Partner with Engineering to ensure IPC and customer requirements are met.
• Provide training and performance feedback to AOI staff.
