Job description
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform Authorizing Official Designated Representative (AODR) support for the Authorizing Official (AO), specifically, coordinate activities associated with the security authorization of system and enclaves and articulate the operational risk for consideration by the authorizing official in rendering a risk decision.
  • Establish acceptable limits for the software application, network, or system.
  • Support Authorizing Official by conducting approvals of security and privacy assessment plans for systems, environments of operation, and authorization packages.
  • Review and approve security categorization results for systems.
  • Review security and privacy assessment plans for systems and environments of operation.
  • Determine the authorization boundaries of systems.
  • Evaluate cost benefit, economic, and risk analysis in decision making process.
  • Manage authorization packages.
  • Monitor and evaluate a system\'s compliance with information technology (IT) security, resilience, and dependability requirements.
  • Support AO by determining if the security and privacy risk from operating a system or using a system, service, or application from an external provider is acceptable.
  • Respond to threats and vulnerabilities based on the results of ongoing/continuous monitoring activities and risk assessments and decide if risk remains acceptable.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
  • Must have a minimum of AS with seven (7) years\' experience.
  • Preferred BS with four (4) years\' experience.
  • Must be minimally DoD 8570 IAM/IAT Level II Certified.
  • Preferred DoD 8570 IAM/IAT Level III Certified.
  • Must have minimum of GSLC, CSP, CGRC/CAP, Cloud+, GSEC.
  • Preferred Cloud+, CCISO, CISM, CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP-ISSMP, FITSP-M, GCSA, GSLC.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to discern the protection needs (i.e., security controls) of information systems and networks.
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating a system\'s compliance with information technology (IT) security, resilience, and dependability requirements.
  • Experience with DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), Risk Management Framework (RMF), information assurance and Cybersecurity.
  • Experienced in designing security controls based on cybersecurity principles and tenets.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (Born or Naturalized). For the purposes of this work effort, Green Card or Visa holders are not eligible.
  • Top Secret and/or Q Clearance is required
