Mahajan Therapeutics is seeking a Full Time Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-focused services in an outpatient setting. The role emphasizes trauma‑informed care, self‑direction, and advocacy, aligned with ODMH standards.
The specialist will conduct face‑to‑face, telephone, or video sessions, support personal recovery goals, and help clients access community resources. A PSP credential and background checks are required.
In accordance with Rule 5122-29-15 of ODMH Administrative Code, all peer recovery services shall be conducted by staff, who are properly credentialed per current ODMH standards to carry out this function. All staff shall be properly supervised according to ODMH certification standards.
Qualified, trained staff will conduct peer recovery (PR) on an individual basis. Services shall address the individualized substance use disorder (SUD) needs of the client. Services are directed with activities that promote recovery, self‑determination, self‑advocacy, wellbeing, and independence. They are individualized, recovery‑focused and based on relationships that support a person in promoting their own recovery.
The purpose or intent of services is to provide self‑directed recovery by assisting clients. Staff will provide clients with trauma‑informed care, diversity competence, encouragement of self‑direction, and advocacy for informed care.
