Unknown Firm in Washington, DC, invites applications for an Antitrust & Competition Associate Attorney to join its hybrid Washington, DC office. You will work alongside leading antitrust practitioners on merger reviews, government investigations, antitrust litigation matters, and compliance counseling engagements.

  • JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC, in good standing.
  • 3-4 years of post-JD experience in antitrust and competition law.
  • Experience handling antitrust litigation, merger reviews, and regulatory investigations.
  • Experience representing clients before FTC, DOJ, and state AGs preferred.
  • Knowledge of merger clearance processes, cartel investigations, and enforcement actions.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional writing, advocacy, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with clients and government agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in antitrust litigation matters in federal and state courts.
  • Assist with merger clearance reviews and regulatory filings.
  • Advise clients during investigations by FTC, DOJ, and state AGs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex competition law issues.
  • Draft motions, briefs, agency submissions, white papers, and memoranda.
  • Support internal and government investigations involving antitrust concerns.
  • Counsel clients on antitrust compliance and risk management.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to support matters.
  • Monitor developments in antitrust enforcement and competition policy.

Our client, a premier international AmLaw 50 firm with a globally recognized Antitrust & Competition Practice , is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside leading antitrust practitioners on some of the most significant merger reviews, government investigations, antitrust litigation matters, and compliance counseling engagements in the marketplace.

The successful candidate will advise sophisticated multinational clients at the intersection of business, government, and regulation while gaining exposure to cutting-edge competition issues across a wide range of industries.

Candidate Profile
  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC , in good standing
  • 3-4 years of post-JD experience (excluding judicial clerkships) in antitrust and competition law
  • Experience handling antitrust litigation matters, merger review matters, and regulatory investigations
  • Experience representing clients before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice (DOJ), and state attorneys general preferred
  • Knowledge of merger clearance processes, cartel investigations, and government enforcement actions
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional writing, advocacy, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously
  • Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working directly with clients and government agencies preferred
Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: Salary range**$260,000 - $420,000,** commensurate with experience and qualifications.
