We Do The Search, a premier law firm, seeks an Antitrust & Competition Associate Attorney in Washington, DC. The role offers exposure to merger reviews, government investigations, antitrust litigation, and compliance counseling alongside leading practitioners.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from a top-tier law school, are admitted to the DC Bar, and have 3-4 years of antitrust experience with strong writing, advocacy, and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC, in good standing
• 3-4 years of post-JD antitrust experience (excluding clerkships)
• Experience handling antitrust litigation, merger reviews, and regulatory investigations
• Experience representing clients before FTC/DOJ and state AGs preferred
• Knowledge of merger clearance processes, cartel investigations, and government enforcement actions
• Strong legal research, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional writing, advocacy and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters; collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in antitrust litigation in federal and state courts
• Assist with merger clearance reviews and related regulatory filings
• Advise clients during FTC/DOJ and state AG investigations
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex competition issues
• Draft motions, briefs, agency submissions, white papers and client memoranda
• Support internal and government investigations involving antitrust concerns
• Counsel clients on antitrust compliance and risk management strategies
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to support transactional and litigation matters
• Monitor developments in antitrust enforcement and competition policy

Our client, a premier international AmLaw 50 firm with a globally recognized Antitrust & Competition Practice , is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside leading antitrust practitioners on some of the most significant merger reviews, government investigations, antitrust litigation matters, and compliance counseling engagements in the marketplace.

The successful candidate will advise sophisticated multinational clients at the intersection of business, government, and regulation while gaining exposure to cutting-edge competition issues across a wide range of industries.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC , in good standing
• 3-4 years of post-JD experience (excluding judicial clerkships) in antitrust and competition law
• Experience handling antitrust litigation matters, merger review matters, and regulatory investigations
• Experience representing clients before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice (DOJ), and state attorneys general preferred
• Knowledge of merger clearance processes, cartel investigations, and government enforcement actions
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional writing, advocacy, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously
• Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
• Experience working directly with clients and government agencies preferred

Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Salary: Salary range**$260,000 - $420,000,** commensurate with experience and qualifications.
