Position Summary

This temporary position will serve as a Antimicrobial Stewardship/Quality Improvement Data Analyst within the department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases. This role supports clinical quality improvement initiatives by designing and evaluating studies, collecting and analyzing data, and applying appropriate statistical methods to assess the impact of interventions. It involves preparing written and oral presentations of project findings for team meetings, conference abstracts, and potential publication. The position provides analytical support across a range of diagnostic stewardship and antimicrobial stewardship related projects. This may include individual level and aggregate analyses of diagnostic test utility, ordering practices, clinical indications, and pseudo experimental study designs such as interrupted time series and difference in differences. Responsibilities include extracting patient level data from the EPIC electronic medical record, maintaining accurate and protocol aligned datasets in systems such as REDCap, and ensuring data quality, completeness, and timely documentation. The role also contributes to broader quality improvement efforts through literature reviews and related tasks, while actively participating in regular team meetings to support ongoing clinical research and program goals.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and to alternate between studies and various tasks as needed.
Detail-oriented and conscientious.
