Position Details

Regional School Unit 13 is seeking a dedicated Special Educator to work with students with behavioral disabilities in grades K-5. This position begins in September 2025 at Oceanside Middle School and works within a Case Management model that emphasizes education over paperwork.

Responsibilities
  • Designing and delivering specially designed instruction across multiple content areas
  • Supporting students with behavioral needs
  • Using behavioral and academic data to inform interventions
  • Supervising Special Education Technicians
  • Completing documentation accurately and timely
Qualifications
  • Appropriate education, experience, and Maine Department of Education certification (#282 endorsement) or eligibility
  • Maine Criminal Records History check
