We hire licensed and aspiring educators who are passionate about making a difference through alternative education. We are especially interested in those with a current Massachusetts secondary level teacher licensure (8-12; 5-12) who have experience with students placed at-risk, however we also welcome candidates seeking to change their careers, or return to teaching again, who are waiver-eligible teachers and willing to obtain a teacher certification.

Ability to teach extra subjects may be required.

This is a teacher position for the Northeast Massachusetts area.

Our programs have small student populations of up to 15 students, with an average class size of 5 students. Instruction is provided by a small, but mighty, group of General Education, Special Education, Art, Physical Education, Horticulture, Vocational, Literacy and ELL teachers.

Our students are placed in our programs by the courts, have complex learning profiles, are multi-grade level, and diverse. They are also budding artists, scientists, musicians, college students, neighbors, and future change agents eager to be seen, experience hope, and contribute. We believe everyone is a learner, and seek educators that value social justice and equity, compassion, patience, and flexibility. Salary Range: $57,543 - 81,498

We offer:

  • Membership in the Massachusetts Teacher Retirement System (MTRS)

  • Clinical and guidance services readily available
  • Flexibility in the curriculum
  • Traditional school calendar with option for summer employment
  • Robust Professional Development by seasoned professionals
  • Competitive salaries and exceptional benefits
