Description:

Burlington Township is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is seeking employment as an educational leader in a progressive and collaborative learning environment. The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate effective leadership, have knowledge of section 504, RTI and HIB law. Knowledge or experience in primary education and early childhood development is preferred. Must also be able to maintain and foster a positive, nurturing and collaborative learning environment as an instructional leader, have a strong knowledge of effective instructional practices, and demonstrate strong communication skills. Must exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aide in further developing the educational services for promoting the educational well-being of each student in the school.
• Oversight of the preschool program
• Support and promote instructional excellence, while helping to play a key role in leading the daily operations in a supportive learning community
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to support a positive, safe and inclusive school culture
• Build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and the community
• Contribute to a collaborative, forward-thinking educational team

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of four years teaching and/or administrative experience
• A working knowledge of the instructional process
• An understanding of the process of supervision and evaluation
• Must meet NJ residency requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Required criminal history background check, proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Highly organized and motivated, self-starter, ability to work independently
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and demonstrate flexibility
