Position Overview:

Northridge Local Schools is seeking a qualified and passionate Intervention Specialist to join our high school team for the 2025–2026 school year. This is an anticipated opening and an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and student-focused environment.

Qualifications & Certifications (per Ohio requirements):

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist license for grades 9–12. Acceptable areas include:

• Intervention Specialist: Mild/Moderate Needs (K–12)
• Intervention Specialist: Moderate/Intensive Needs (K–12)
• Or equivalent licensure appropriate for secondary education.

Reading Instruction Requirement:

Completion of at least 12 semester hours in the teaching of reading, including phonics, as required by the Ohio Administrative Code.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Additional Details:

Contract: 185 days
