Job summary

The North Plainfield School District is seeking a dynamic Head Baseball Coach for North Plainfield High School. The role focuses on building a strong program that fosters student-athletes' academic success, teamwork, and character.

Ideal candidates will have NJ teaching or substitute credentials, coaching experience, strong leadership, and the ability to plan practices, supervise players, and collaborate with staff, parents, and administrators to uphold high standards on and off the field.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate or Substitute Certificate.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or obtain prior to the season).
• Coaching and/or playing experience in baseball preferred.
• Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, skill development, and NFHS/NJSIAA rules.
• Ability to plan practices and supervise student-athletes safely.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Collaborate with players, parents, administrators, and staff.
• Promote academics, sportsmanship, teamwork, and character.
• Complete district employment requirements and NJSIAA coaching certifications.

The North Plainfield School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered, and experienced leader to serve as the Head Baseball Coach at North Plainfield High School.

North Plainfield is a diverse and vibrant community committed to developing the whole child through academics, athletics, and extracurricular opportunities. Our athletic programs emphasize excellence, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and character development. We are seeking a coach who is passionate about building a comprehensive baseball program that supports student-athletes both on and off the field.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate or New Jersey Substitute Certificate.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or obtain prior to the season).
• Previous baseball coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, skill development, and NJSIAA/NFHS rules.
