Job summary

Cloverleaf Local School District in Seville, Ohio seeks an Anticipated ES Paraprofessional for the 2026/27 year. The position may be part-time or full-time, with a 7.00/hrs day schedule and duties assisting the classroom teacher in instructional and non-instructional tasks.

Starting date is immediately, with salary from $15.28 to $16.35 per hour. The role requires an Ohio certification, a high school diploma, and a compassionate, dependable attitude toward student support and classroom

Qualifications

• Ohio certification is required and must be current.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with teaching and non-teaching tasks.

• Supervise students during recess and transitions.
• Assist with materials, copying, and bulletin boards.
• Check individual student skills and progress.
• Play learning games and help absent students catch up.
• Promote positive social behavior and respectful communication.
• Explain school rules and assist with clothing/array of wear.
• Prepare class materials and manage copies for lessons.
• Grade papers and distribute communications home.

General Description

Assist the classroom teacher with teaching and non-teaching functions.

Essential Functions

• Work with students individually and in small groups.
• Aide students with their tasks, read to students, conduct activities that work to maintain previous teaching.
• Help students move from one activity to another in the classroom.
• Assist with seatwork.
• Assist with supervision of youngsters at recess, restroom breaks, and so forth.
• Help children with programmed materials.
• Assist teacher with checking of individual skills of children.
• Play learning games.
• Assist students who were absent to make up work.
• Promote good social relationships between children.
• Respond to students in a kind, fair, and interested manner.
• Explain school rules to children.
• Aide students with getting in and out of wearing apparel and footwear.
• Prepare materials for class projects.
• Assist in maintaining bulletin boards.
• Prepare masters for copying.
• Copy materials for class.
• Grade papers.
• Distribute communiqués to be sent home with the children.
• Compile and maintain inventory records.
• Give medication to children.
• Take daily attendance and lunch count; collect lunch and milk money.
• Supervise general housekeeping duties.
• Make school-related non-confidential telephone calls for the teacher.
• Assist the teacher in supervision of various classroom activities, field trips, and so forth.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings.
• Help instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values.
• Conduct other related educational assistant duties as assigned by the principal and/or local superintendent and as permitted by the negotiated agreement.

Additional Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
• Occasional interaction among unruly children.
