Cumberland Valley School District is hiring an Educational Assistant (EA) II for the 2025-2026 school year, with a work schedule of 7.5 hours per day. The role involves supporting students in the Life Skills Support program, ensuring educational strategies and support services meet students' unique needs. The starting wage is $19.50/hr.
The primary assignment will be in a life skills classroom, with priority given to candidates with direct experience in such settings. The EA will collaborate closely with teachers and staff to provide instructional support and assist with program implementation. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and sensitivity to diverse cultures are essential. Fluency in English is required; multilingual abilities are a plus.
Qualifications include a high school diploma, with a two-year Associates Degree or higher preferred. Candidates must complete 20 hours of training annually to maintain Highly Qualified status and be able to perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting for long periods, bending, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Corrected hearing and vision within normal ranges are also required.
