Job Summary:

Cook County School District 130 is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and service-oriented leader to serve as our next Director of Human Resources. This position offers an opportunity to shape the employee experience by leading recruitment, talent management, employee relations, and personnel operations in a diverse K-8 school district committed to student success. Working closely with the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources plays a key role in attracting and retaining exceptional employees while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws and supporting a positive workplace culture.

  • Competitive salary: $106,500 – $116,500, commensurate with experience.
  • District-paid TRS contributions.
  • 30 vacation days and 15 sick days annually.
  • Administrator Academy tuition and professional development support.
  • $2,000 annual travel stipend.
  • Employee wellness program and EAP access.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time, 12-month position (July 1 – June 30)
  • Standard hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Attendance at all Board of Education meetings required
  • Occasional evening and weekend responsibilities
